Conversation
Groups:
For all students and individuals on the tutor waiting list, come to a VEP conversation group and practice your English in a relaxed setting. Meet others who are learning English too.
The Volunteer English Program offers two conversation groups:
1) In collaboration with Tredyffrin Library, this group meets EVERY WEDNESDAY of each month from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Betty Ann Monash is the group facilitator.

2) Thanks to the owner Kim Goldbecker and co-worker Sheila Frech, of the Three Little Pigs restaurant, this group meets once a month on the third Wednesday from 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Tutors, encourage your students to attend. Better yet, bring them the first time or two until they are comfortable.

Have you sent in a tutor-student progress report lately? If so, we thank you. If not, please take a few minutes to fill one out and send it to us via email, snail mail or complete it online. The Volunteer English Program In Chester County sponsors nine-hour training workshops for those who wish to tutor English as a second language to an adult immigrant or refugee. All workshops are held at:

ON THE PREMISES:
The congregation of Kesher Israel is delighted to play a small role in furthering the mission of the Volunteer English Program by providing a venue for the training sessions. We welcome you to our building.
Since Kesher Israel is affiliated with United Conservative Synagogues, there are some restrictions on what food items can be brought into the building. Please be aware of the following:
No non-Kosher meat or meat products. Packaged food items that are identified as Kosher are acceptable. Look for a small circle containing a “U” or a “K”. Items labeled “PARVE” are acceptable. Most dairy products are acceptable.Sign Up to Be a Tutor!Email UsOr Call
